Famous Power Couples Who Embraced A Vegan Lifestyle

Celebs are just like us––they try different diets to see what feels best. Sure, they may have a couple million bucks lying around for private chefs and five-star meals, which must make going vegan a bit more feasible!

Today we’re rounding up famous celeb couples who embraced a vegan lifestyle at some point in their career.

1. Beyoncé + Jay-Z
Vogue describes Beyoncé and Jay-Z as “vegan curious.” Beyoncé famously adopted a strict vegan diet to get in tip top shape for her iconic 2018 Coachella performance. The super famous couple are advocates of Meatless Monday, singing the praises that limiting meat consumption has on your health and the environment.
2. Casey Affleck + Summer Phoenix

Probably best known for their famous siblings (Casey Affleck’s brother is Ben Affleck and Summer’s famous brothers are Joaquin and River Phoenix), this celeb duo have their own acting careers, too (check out this in-depth comparison of Casey and Ben's acting careers a few years back) The two were married for eleven years, no doubt bonding over their like minded eating habits as full-fledged vegans.
3. Meghan Markle + Prince Harry
Despite rumored disapproval from the Queen, royal celeb Meghan Markle follows a mostly vegan lifestyle and intends to raise baby Archie vegan as well. Markle has even influenced Prince Harry to limit his meat consumption. That’s one royally vegan couple!

4. Megan Fox + Brian Austin Green

Although Megan Fox is now dating Machine Gun Kelly (who she describes as her “twin flame”) and Brian Austin Green is now dating a vegan restaurant owner, that doesn’t negate the ten years of vegan family bliss the two celebrities had while together. The former couple sends their children to a vegan school and Fox has claimed she loves animals so much that she doesn’t even step on ants! While the strictness of their veganism is unknown, these two celebs are certainly advocates for plant-based living.
5. Miley Cyrus + Liam Hemsworth

While this iconic celeb couple have since backed up from their diehard vegan eating habits due to health issues––Miley Cyrus’s brain was malfunctioning and Liam Hemsworth suffered kidney stones––there’s no doubt the former couple pushes the limit when it comes to minimizing their harm to animals with their diet. Cyrus only eats fish now and Hemsworth only switched back to meat because he felt “forced” due to his health issues.
6. Paul + Linda McCartney

The great love of Paul McCartney’s life was his first wife Linda McCartney, who died at the age of 56 of breast cancer. The Beatle began his lifelong animal advocacy with Linda, and together the couple raised four children to be vegan and kind to animals. Their daughter, Stella McCartney, has gone on to change the face of fashion with her animal-friendly principles.

7. Tom Brady + Gisele Bündchen
Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen
Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen, and their two young children all eat plant-based. While Brady is a full-fledged vegan and Bündchen is not, the two are almost entirely plant-based. Bündchen, one of the most famous celebs found in fashion, has even disavowed wearing fur. If eating a plant-based diet will help you look more like the gorgeous duo, then count us in. It’s not the only cause this celeb couple supports––check out this documentary about climate change featuring this gorgeous plant-powered duo.
8. Nina Dobrev + Shaun White

We couldn’t be more excited about the recent coupling of famous celeb vegans Nina Dobrev and Shaun White. The Vampire Diaries actress credits fellow actress Ruby Rose and the delicious Impossible Burger for converting her to veganism. We’re rooting for this new vegan romance - and even a snowboarding vegan baby in the future!
9. Kristen Bell + Dax Shepard
Kristen Bell was a vegan most of her life and recruited husband Dax Shepard after watching the documentary Forks Over Knives - a favorite of fellow vegan (and recently engaged!) Ariana Grande. Bell has walked back her veganism and now considers herself just a vegetarian. The two are very health-conscious clearly, though, which likely has helped Shepard maintain his sobriety for the past fifteen years.
