It’s a pretty bad idea to be fat around Gwyneth Paltrow. Granted, we already knew it was a bad idea to cook things wrong, write things wrong, exercise wrong and raise our children wrong in front of her, and that’s obviously why she created GOOP.COM: to correct our behavior so it would stop annoying her. It makes sense, quite frankly. But now we have definitive proof that we also get on her nerves for being fat. Just ask Ross the Intern, who in an interview with People about how he lost 50 pounds by joining Jenny Craig, revealed that at a taping of Chelsea Lately‘s show last November, Gwyneth “pointed at [his] tummy and said ‘What’s going on here? I love you. Get it together.'” AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID, EVERYBODY? THAT’S RIGHT! HE GOT IT TOGETHER AND LOST 50 POUNDS! Yay for Ross, everyone! But really, it’s good he lost the weight. But can you imagine how shocked he must have been when GWYNETH PALTROW, of unwrapping breasts in candlelight fame and of that terrible group of mothers who take their children to concerts but make them wear giant headphones that ooze superiority (don’t bring your kids to concerts if they’re such precious little potatoes!), essentially said to Ross, “Hey, Ross. Why are you fat? Are you uneducated or currently residing in a low-income dwelling? Surely not. So, you know. Express yourself. Let your body groove to the music. You know you can do it.” (In my mind, Paltrow loves Madonna.) In any case, Ross lost some weight and the next time he saw Gwyneth Paltrow, she told him she was proud of him. And if I had his number, I’d call the guy who wrote The Hungry Caterpillar book, because this is, you know. The sequel.
