On Tuesday, a galaxy far, far away lost one of their most treasured souls. Carrie Fisher passed away at the age of 60 after drowning in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.* Her partner in space-crime, Harrison Ford, eulogized the late actress hours after her passing.

“Carrie was one-of-a-kind … brilliant, original. Funny and emotionally fearless,” he said. “She lived her life, bravely. … My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her.”

Fisher had recently revealed that she had a three-month affair with Ford while working on the original Star Wars film. At the time, she was a teenager and Harrison was a 33-year-old, married father-of-two.

She revealed the affair in her memoir The Princess Diarist, but first gave the actor a heads up.

“He’s incredibly private,” Fisher told People in an interview. “I feel really bad about doing that to him. But yes, I told him I found the journals and I was going to publish them, and he sort of went, ‘Lawyer!'”

Both Ford and Fisher reprised their roles as Princess Leia and Han Solo in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. They will appear together in Star Wars: Episode VIII which is the last film in the Star Wars franchise that Fisher completed before her death.

*Per Fisher’s wishes, we used the eulogy she wrote for herself in 2008.
