Harry Styles postpones Love On Tour amid coronavirus pandemic

Harry Styles has rescheduled his Love On Tour jaunt to 2021 amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The former One Direction star was set to support his second album Fine Line with the mammoth jaunt, kicking off in Birmingham, England on April 15, 2020, and taking in Europe and North America, before ending in Mexico City on October 3rd.

Support acts scheduled to appear included Mark Ronson protege King Princess, reggae singer Koffee, and Jenny Lewis.

However, as the world goes into lockdown due to the spread of Covid-19, Harry announced on Instagram on Wednesday (October 25th) he had made the tough decision to postpone the tour, which now begins in Bologna, Italy, on February 12th.

“Anyone who knows me, knows that performing has always been my favorite part of working in music. However, during times like these, the safety and protection of touring crew, fans, and everyone else around the world is an immediate priority,” he penned, alongside a poster announcing the new dates.

“For obvious reasons, the upcoming tour in the UK and Europe will be rescheduled to 2021,” the Adore You star continued. “Tickets already purchased will be valid for these shows. In the meantime, we will be closely monitoring the situation around the world and will continue updating you in the months to come.”

He finished: “For the safety of yourself and others, please self-isolate. We’re all in this together. I can’t wait to see you out on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so. Until then, treat people with kindness. H.”

Stars including Cher, Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Dua Lipa have all either postponed or canceled tour dates, as officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) urge people to stay home and practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of the virus.
