Yesterday, One Direction’s Harry Styles celebrated his 22nd birthday, and practically broke the internet when he tweeted one of his former girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s lyrics. From Swift’s album 2012 album Red, Styles tweeted a lyric from her song “22”. He wrote the classic line any 22-year-old would share on their birthday.

This can’t be a coincidence. After all, the former couple dated back in 2012 and things didn’t exactly end amicably between the pair. Fans of both musicians have even speculated that their newest music is about one another. The song “Perfect”, off of One Direction’s Made in the A.M has been thought to be about Taylor Swift. When the band sat down with Late Late Late Show host James Corden for their Apple Music Event, Cordon asked Styles about the meaning behind the song. The 22-year-old Brit responded, “People can interpret a lot of different things in different ways. And I’m not going to tell someone it’s not about what they think it’s about, because I think the whole point is – it’s about whatever it means to you.” (Very cheeky Mr. Styles.)

In contrast, Taylor Swift’s songs “Style” and “Out Of The Woods” from her latest album 1989 are rumored to be about the dapper boy bander.
Whether this is true or not, it’s nice to see that Harry Styles & Taylor Swift might be cool again.We happy to see they never went out of style.
