Judge issues injunction on Lopez ex over home video footage

Ojani Noa and production partner Ed Meyer were served with a temporary restraining order last month (Nov09) and in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday (01Dec09), Judge James Chalfant revealed he would be issuing a preliminary injunction against the pair.

Lopez previously sued her first husband and Meyer for $10 million (£6.25 million) in November (09), claiming Noa was intent on violating the terms of the couple’s divorce and a confidentiality agreement by releasing 11 hours of footage.

The injunction to be issued will remain in effect until the case is resolved.

An attorney for the singer/actress and Meyer have dismissed reports the footage features sexual situations.

Meyer claims the home video footage was being used as research material for an upcoming Noa “mockumentary”, chronicling the former waiter and restaurant manager’s life and his romance and marriage to Lopez.

As a result of the injunction, plans to develop Noa’s story as a film have been put on hold.

A court order issued on Monday (30Nov09) barred Noa and Meyer from releasing “confidential information” about Lopez or the footage.
