Kanye West tops Forbes’ highest paid hip hop artist list

Kanye West has beaten out pal Jay-Z to become the highest-earning hip hop star in the world.

With the help of revenue from his Yeezy brand, the Stronger hitmaker is expected to earn $1.5 billion this year (2019), giving the rap superstar the top spot on the rich list for the first time.

West’s officials $150 million income over the past year puts him $20 million ahead of second-placed JAY-Z.

Other stars making the 2019 rich list include Drake, Diddy, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B.
