Kate Moss to ‘Escape’ Drug Charges

Troubled supermodel Kate Moss is likely to escape criminal charges over her alleged use of cocaine in a London recording studio last year, according to reports.

The beauty, 32, hit the headlines in September when another newspaper published images of the model, which appeared to show her snorting cocaine in a studio, where her then-boyfriend Pete Doherty was recording with his band Babyshambles.

Following the publication of the controversial images, Moss spent 142 days away from her native Britain, traveling through North America, the Caribbean and Europe before finally returning to London in February for police questioning over the incident.

Although Moss released a statement admitting “full responsibility” for her actions, she has not told police whether or not she has taken the illegal narcotic.

But British newspaper the Daily Mail claims Moss is unlikely to be cautioned or charged over the incident, due to insufficient evidence and her failure to make any admittance to the charges.

The police are also concerned Moss was ‘set up’ by a music industry insider, who hoped to sell the images to a newspaper. It is rumored the Daily Mirror newspaper paid up to $262,500 for the footage which broke the scandal.
