Katy Perry delighted with Taylor Swift’s gift to newborn daughter

Katy Perry is so pleased with the personalized blanket Taylor Swift sent her newborn daughter Daisy, she hopes her child keeps it until she’s all grown up.

Katy and Taylor were feuding rivals for several years after reportedly falling out in 2013 over a dispute over backing dancers – but have publicly buried the hatchet in recent times and publicly praised each other.

The popstars now appear to be fast friends as the Bad Blood singer responded to news her one-time nemesis was expecting a baby with fiance Orlando Bloom with a touching gift – a gesture that Katy revealed on Instagram on Sunday (September 13, 2020) – two weeks after the birth of her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.

Sharing the photo of the blanket, which was embroidered with a flower and the words “Baby Bloom”, Perry posted on Instagram: “Miss (daisy and dove emojis) adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift…hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager…”

The blanket was sent with a card, addressed to “Katy and Orlando (and little one)” which was dated May 3rd – so Taylor appears to have sent the card earlier on in the Firework hitmaker’s pregnancy, in anticipation of her becoming a mom.

The two singers had long been thought to be at odds, with 2015’s Bad Blood alleged to be a dig at Katy, and 2017’s Swish Swish, believed to be a riposte.

However, in 2018, the Smile musician sent a package containing an olive branch and a handwritten note to Taylor, a gift she shared on social media.
