Since Kim Kardashian West was robbed a gunpoint in Paris, France earlier this fall, the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan have kept a fairly low profile on social media. Kardashian West hasn’t so much as sent a tweet while the other sisters have gone fairly dark as well. The most active of the Kardashian Klan has ironically been Rob Kardashian who took to Instagram to celebrate the birth of his daughter, Dream Kardashian. Still, many fans of the reality family were hoping that they would be making their social media return in the coming weeks. However, it looks like things are actually going in a completely different direction.
Kardashian West’s sister, model Kendall Jenner has just erased her Instagram account with no warning, leaving her 68.6 million fans puzzled. When trying to reach Jenner’s page, you will receive an error message that says, “Sorry this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”
Jenner has struggled recently with crippling anxiety and has expressed her desire to log-off and just live her life. She recently told Allure, “I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can’t get off of it.That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days.”
We can certainly understand the desire to delete apps off of our phones, but to delete her account altogether is an entirely different story. Kendell’s Twitter and Facebook pages are still on and popping but perhaps she’s just taking some time for herself. There is nothing wrong with a bit of social media detoxing, in fact, we highly recommend it to anyone who’s feeling a bit overwhelmed by the current state of our nation.
