Lauren Daigle has broken the record for the longest run at the top of America’s Hot Christian Songs Chart.

Her Grammy-winning tune You Say has landed 62 weeks at number one, breaking a tie with Hillsong United’s Oceans (Where Feet May Fail), which landed 61 weeks on top back in 2013 and 2014.

“I really pondered the journey of the song Oceans, and I remember seeing the impact that song made on so many people. It was just so beautiful to me,” Daigle tells Billboard. “I hoped that I could be a part of something that shakes the earth like that song. I didn’t know that would ever happen, and I had no idea that You Say would be something that would parallel the life of Oceans.”

You Say, which first hit the top of the chart in July 2018, is Lauren’s fourth number one.

Daigle’s album Look Up Child, which features You Say, has spent 48 weeks at number one on the Top Christian Albums countdown, marking the longest run at the top of the chart.
