Harry Styles is stalling a One Direction reunion, according to former bandmate Liam Payne.
The boy band launched a hiatus in 2016 and Liam and the gang have all enjoyed different levels of success as solo artists, with Harry on top thanks to a successful stint as an actor in Dunkirk and his hit eponymous album and singles Sign of the Times and Kiwi.
Now Payne admits he, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are ready to regroup as One Direction – but Harry is a hold-out.
Speaking to SiriusXM this week (Sept. 16, 2019), Liam said, “I haven’t spoken to Harry in a while, so I don’t know where his head is at… (but) I heard he mentioned it (reunion) in some sort of magazine thing, or whatever, the other day, which is cool.
“I think everybody else has been really outspoken. I think they’re ready to go whenever. I think Niall was ready the day we decided to stop. He was like, ‘I’m sure we’re coming back in tomorrow, boys!’ He was just ready to go.”
