Lindsay Lohan Is Under House Arrest

lindsay lohanEarly this morning, Lindsay Lohan was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet at the Lynwood Jail in Los Angeles and then she returned to her home to begin not leaving it. Originally, she was sentenced to four months in jail because she pleaded no contest to the charges of stealing a $2,500 necklace, but since the jails in Los Angeles are too crowded and it hasn’t occurred to anyone to just build more jails, the Judge allowed her to serve her time at home because she’s a nonviolent offender. If Lindsay behaves well inside her house, her time there could be as little as two weeks because of “budgetary constraints,” which is confusing because what “budgetary constraints” are there if she’s at home? She’s not doing anything. Does this mean the city of Los Angeles depends on the criminal activity she commits to maintain its economy? That is a question that I believe is worthy of an answer, because they brought it up and they were the ones who started it in the first place. The L.A. Sherriff’s spokesman, Steve Whitmore, did not say there were any instances where Lindsay would be allowed to leave her house, but in the past he has said that the electronic bracelet she is currently wearing will not be used to detect drugs or alcohol in her system. Because both monitoring her whereabouts AND her drug and alcohol levels at the same time are probably JUST TOO EXPENSIVE.
