After the mess this last year has been for Lindsay Lohan, it looks like she’s attempting to get back on track. Reports are circulating that she’s now in final talks to play Victoria Gotti, daughter to John Travolta’s John Gotti in an upcoming biopic. At least this time she’s not going to be playing a stripper or porn star or murdered actress. She’s playing the daughter of a mafioso who actually does fairly well for herself. Whether or not she’s learned how to act since her last stint on screen is still a mystery. Lohan was also rumored to be testing for a role in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, but it’s likely that her trial dates will interfere with production, so she can probably kiss that goodbye.
As for the production of Gotti: Three Generations, I don’t know that we can have very high hopes. Yes, we’ve got Nick Cassavetes at the helm, but at the same time, Kim Kardashian is in the running to play Gotti’s daughter-in-law, Kim Gotti. They have seen her TrimSpa commercials, right? She can’t even act in those. How is she supposed to play someone who actually exists? Does Travolta know about all this? With all these starlets who are more famous for their scandals (Kim’s sex tape and LiLo’s…everything) I think Cassavetes will be hard pressed to make sure his film is taken seriously. Including these ladies is a sure fire way to make his life a hell of a lot more difficult.
