Even though Lindsay Lohan got us hoping she really would play Victoria Gotti in Gotti: The Three Generations when she stood next to the real Victoria Gotti at last week’s press conference , it appears as though discussions between her and the filmmakers have permanently ended. A representative for the film told EW that negotiations have ended and she was not cast in the movie. An explanation as to why Lindsay was suddenly no longer in talks for the role was not provided, but producer Marc Fiore told People that her upcoming trial for felony grand theft was not the reason why the teams parted ways. Instead, he said, “We just couldn’t reach terms…We are going to meet with other people [for the role].”
But all hope is not lost! She’s still in talks to star as Sharon Tate in Tyler Shields’s movie about Charles Manson! And it’s a good thing too, because it shows she’s smart. I mean, only smart people line up the opportunity to play a pregnant woman who gets murdered if their deal to play Victoria Gotti falls through, right?
