Meet Noah Centineo, Hollywood’s (and everyone’s) dream boyfriend

You know the name, you’ve seen his swoon-worthy persona on The Fosters, How to Build a Better Boy, Sierra Burgess is a Loser, and The Perfect Date, but he’s mostly known for his role as Peter Kavinsky in the Netflix hit movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

The heartthrob’s name may ring a few (or more) bells for younger millennials as well as Gen-Zers. He also appeared in Disney’s Jessie, Shake It Up, and Austin & Ally.

I was today years old when I found out that he’s the one who played Camilla Cabello’s love interest in her music video for “Havana.” That just goes to show that Noah can adapt to any role!

The 6-foot-2, 25-year-old certainly has had a lot going for him as far as film and television go. But let’s get to know Noah Centineo, diving into Noah Centineo movies and TV shows and all of your other burning questions about this Hollywood stud!

Let’s start with Noah Centineo in The Fosters, shall we?

Jesus Adams Foster, originally played by Jake T. Austin, was taken over by Noah Centineo. Why? According to CBR, the reason was simply that Jake T. Austin wanted a “more substantial role.” When it’s revealed that Jesus did not die in the car crash at the end of season 3 of The Fosters, Noah Centineo took over Jake T. Austin’s role.

And may I just say, he did a very good job portraying that ostensible “brokenness” of a young teenage boy who was suffering from mental health problems, even though it was obviously a different actor.

No one handled replacing a character better than Noah Centineo.

Did they really think we wouldn’t notice?!

Before he was Jesus, he was a Disney icon! (I mean, come on.)

Noah Centineo was on several Disney TV shows including Jessie and Shake It Up. You may not have recognized him in Austin and Ally because of that baby face and his shaggy brown hair (anyone else reminded of first boyfriends with that shaggy haircut?! I know I am!).

Nevertheless, Noah Centineo played Dallas in only three episodes of Austin and Ally as Ally’s (played by Laura Marano) love interest…gotta love a guy who works at a cell phone accessory cart. I mean c’mon, we all know in the end Austin (Ross Lynch) and Ally belonged together.

In Jessie, Noah Centineo played Rick Larkin, who was actually a “bad boy” — literally. In fact, according to the Fandom page for Jessie, the character Rick Larkin was named after Link Larkin of Hairspray because Link (Zac Efron) breaks the blonde girl, Amber’s  (Brittany Snow) heart. But in the case of Jessie, Rick (Noah Centineo) breaks Emma’s (Peyton List) heart by flirting with another girl. But to his karma, he gets shut down.

In Shake It Up, he had a very small cameo, but was, yet again, a love interest for CeCe (Bella Thorne). But he also had a dog… named Taco… that should’ve been a win for CeCe all on its own!

All of these cameos make Noah Centineo a Disney icon, right? Right.

Even before that, there was the Noah Centineo TV show T@gged

In this creepy thriller series about the darker sides of social media, Noah Centineo appeared in the second season as Hawk Carter. Although it wasn’t a starring role, Noah once again played the boyfriend! That’s right, he played the boyfriend of the character Hailey (Lisa Marie Johnson).

^^ a hot take that is sure to spark a debate

Find out more about Hailey and Hawk’s short-lived love (I say short-lived because the series, unfortunately, didn’t last long) on Hulu.

Then there was the iconic Noah Centineo movie, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is 100% considered Noah Centineo’s breakout role. GQ reports that the Hollywood actor went from 300,000 Instagram followers to 11 million in only 7 DAYS.

I couldn’t help but watch this famous Netflix movie when it first came out. And I couldn’t help but think that Lara Jean did in fact, belong with Peter Kavinsky. I mean that kissing scene at the end of the first movie? So ‘80s, and we live for those till this day! But don’t get your hopes up because Lana Condor and Noah Centineo actually made an IRL ‘best-friend professionals’ contract while filming the series, according to Teen VogueNoah Centineo said in a February 2020 interview with NPR:

I feel like you can’t say ‘Break my heart into a thousand pieces,’ and ‘I love you’ without being vulnerable. Those are very very honest statements. And I feel like that’s what we all want … And being pent up and not releasing your emotion is something that as men for a very long time, we’ve been conditioned to think is normal. And it’s led to so many psychiatric ailments.”

With that being said, this was probably the most vulnerable role that Noah Centineo took on in his career. In 2020, he reprised his role as Peter Kravinsky in To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and To All the Boys: Always and Forever in Feb 2021.

Thankfully, you can watch (and rewatch) Noah Centineo in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and To All the Boys: Always and Forever on Netflix!

With all this talk about love…let’s talk about Noah Centineo and Alexis Ren

Noah Centineo’s relationship with the model, Instagram influencer, and Dancing With the Stars alumna, Alexis Ren was most likely the more public romance that Noah Centineo had in his career as a celebrity. The relationship was confirmed when Us Weekly reported that the couple packed on some PDA at an airport in Palm Beach, Florida where Noah went to pick her up.

But the couple was dating for at least nine months before news officially broke that they were, indeed, a couple. Style Caster confirmed that Alexis Ren was absolutely head-over-heels for Noah Centineo and that he really has a “heart of gold.” The pair ultimately split in April 2020.

Who is Noah Centineo’s current girlfriend?

Meet Stassie Karanikolaou — better known as Kylie Jenner’s BFF and model for Khloe Kardashian’s jeans brand, Good American. There were reportedly rumors that the pair eloped in Las Vegas in October 2020, but those rumors were quickly dismissed.

However, nothing stops them from packing on PDA at friends’ gatherings, according to Parade. There was also an Instagram post of Stassie wearing Noah’s jacket and claiming it’s “their jacket” now.

SOMEBODY TURN DOWN THE THERMOSTAT BECAUSE THEIR RELATIONSHIP IS STEAMY!

Wait, what about Noah Centineo and Lily Collins?

Though their ostensible relationship was never confirmed, the two actually starred in a music video for ARTY’s “Save Me Tonight,” that Noah actually directed. In the video, Lily Collins moves away (classic) and meets Noah’s character when her books get knocked down by a bully. Noah Centineo’s character gets down on the ground to help Lily Collins’ character pick up her books.

We all know where this is going, right? Sike! It’s actually not what it seems. The music video is actually about anti-bullying. The two end up becoming fast friends… and something may have sparked between Lily and Noah IRL because Noah was doing a partnership with Calvin Klein and Lily commented on Instagram, “I never look that good when I lounge,”  only to have Noah Centineo reply with “Oh please” with the fire emoji. Wow. Can you say flirtatious?

Nevertheless, the whole anti-bullying music video was a HIT. See for yourself! And the two had a lot of fun filming it! (As to be expected.)

Noah Centineo fun facts that have nothing to do with dating

Take a break from feeling sad over the fact that Noah Centineo is taken with these cute, quirky, and fun facts that are far more interesting than his love life!

  1. He originally wanted to be a professional soccer player. That is until he accompanied his sister to a modeling audition… the rest is history from there.
  2. He and his family are from Boynton Beach, Florida but Noah Centineo was born in Miami.
  3. He is extremely close with his family. #FamilyFirst
  4. He likes to play the guitar.
  5. He admitted to several outlets, including W Magazine, that he tries to avoid being on technology all the time. (We don’t blame him, it’s a nasty habit… that we do too frequently!)
  6. He LOVES rom-coms! (Who doesn’t!?) But 13 Going On 30 and Serendipity are his faves!
  7. He told BuzzFeed Celeb that his first date involved trading books and reading for three hours.
  8. He blatantly said that Mark Ruffalo was his supposed “doppelganger” and Ruffalo told Jimmy Fallon that he wished he looked that good at that age.
  9. He became 100% sober at 21. He turns to yoga, instead, now.
  10.  Even though he’s considered a “tweety bird,” he actually hasn’t tweeted since March 31 (as of writing this article) with a very insightful comment:

Noah Centineo: a superhero?

Noah Centineo is not only the superhero of our hearts but he is actually set to play a superhero! DC Extended Universe (DCEU) has produced comic book movies like Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Shazam!, and Wonder Woman. In July 2022, DCEU will grace us with Noah Centineo and Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam where Noah will play Atom Smasher.

According to Insider, the Black Adam movie has been in the works for over a decade! Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spoke with Business Insider way back in 2014 about his excitement to play Black Adam:

“One of the things I always loved and admired about Black Adam was, number one, he was an antihero. I love that. I love that the line is a little blurred. I love that he has his own sense of Black Adam justice.”

Black Adam is apparently one of the most powerful characters in the DC universe.

Noah Centineo’s character, Atom Smasher, has the power to grow as large as the Empire State Building, given his ability to control molecular structure. Interestingly, he is one of few known Jewish characters, and Noah Centineo himself is Jewish.

“He really has something to prove, especially with his lineage of where his grandfather was kind of a villain,” Noah Centineo said to Insider. “He’s got quite a spirit to help.”

It seems like Noah Centineo is training hard to keep up with The Rock ???

Pierce Brosnan will also star in Black Adam as DC superhero Doctor Fate.

There’s more than one Noah Centineo movie to look forward to.

Get ready to see him in the upcoming movie release The Diary, premiering on Netflix sometime in late 2021. The Diary is a Chinese period drama written, produced, and directed by none other than Jackie Chan

Collider reports that Noah Centineo is on board for a Game Stop movie that has yet to be titled, but there’s not much else to report on that movie.

We’re just glad Noah Centineo is keeping busy, and can’t wait to see him take on new roles in Hollywood!

Lana Condor and Noah Centineo bonded over their love for philanthropy while they were filming To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, according to a June 2020 interview with ET. It was Lana who said about the inevitable bonding:

“I have a scholarship with The Asia Foundation that puts Vietnamese girls through four years of high school education. Noah and I have always been close but we really bonded over, like, ‘Whoa, I’m doing this thing for my girls that I love and Noah is doing this amazing thing with Favored Nations,’ and it’s a passion that we both have and we kind of really bonded over that.”

The pair of actors teamed up to do campaigns for Black Lives Matter.

Noah Centineo awards

It’s no surprise that he has won several awards (again, come on, how could he not be recognized for his work?).

In 2018, he won the IMDb Awards’ Top 10 Breakout Stars Award (shared with stars like John Krasinski, Jacob Elordi, Michael B. Jordan, Olivia Cooke, Tessa Thompson, Martha Higareda, Kiernan Shipka, Jessica Barden, and Hannah John-Kamen).

2019 was his big year for awards, starting with the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Best Movie Actor, followed by two MTV Movie and TV Awards for Best Breakthrough Appearance (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) and Best Kiss (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before). Then there was the Teen Choice Award for Best Comedy Movie Actor.

I mean, 2020 wasn’t so bad for award shows, right? Let’s focus on the positives! He won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Comedy Movie Star!

Even though Noah Centineo’s career might just be skyrocketing, he is most certainly #winning at life.
