TMZ is reporting the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department has begun investigating Mel Gibson under the suspicion he attacked his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. The incident is supposed to have happened in Malibu last January and February.
Last week, we learned a tape featuring Gibson issuing racial slurs and insults towards his ex-girlfriend. They were apparently recorded by Oksana, who wanted to be ready to win custody of their child once they decided to separate.
And today, we learned Gibson doesn’t just reserve his hate speech towards women, African Americans, and Jews (who apparently are “responsible for all the wars in the world”): there’s another tape of him referring to Hispanics in an outright hateful manner.
It’s hard to figure out what we’re supposed to make out of all of this, other than the unfortunate fact you couldn’t take Mel Gibson to any kind of restaurant, anywhere! No, just kidding, of course hate speech is badly bad. What is it with these people? Lindsay Lohan’s talking like she’s been sentenced to star in a real-life Saw movie and Gibson here has been playing too much Whack-A-Mole or something. My advice would be the next time you feel like doing a bump of some illicit substance or being racist, peek into a Pier 1 catalog. I guarantee you the urge will pass.
