The day after Miley Cyrus wore half-jeans, half-sweatpants to a MySpace Relaunch Party in Los Angeles, her parents took a cue from her pants and split.
On Thursday, Tish Cyrus filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus in the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” according to documents obtained by TMZ. But is it for good this time? Three years ago, Billy Ray filed for divorce only to change his mind and withdraw his divorce filing five months later. Now, Tish is splitting from her husband of 19 years, asking for spousal support and for him to pay her attorney’s fees. She is also asking for primary physical and legal custody of their 13-year-old daughter Noah, the only minor amongst their five children, with visiting rights for the country singer. The date of the separation is yet to be determined.
The first time the Cyrus parents almost split, Miley’s dad revealed to GQ Magazine that the Disney Channel TV series, Hannah Montana, “destroyed” their family. It looks like they really couldn’t have the best of both worlds…
