The latest collectibles to hit the market have a presidential resemblance and no, we aren’t talking about an Obama action figure. Ty Inc. released a line of “Sweet Sasha” and “Marvelous Malia” Beanie Babies.
More surprising is that Ty isn’t admitting the similarities between the TyGirlz Collection dolls and the President’s daughters. Company spokeswoman Tania Lundeen told the Huffington Post, “There’s nothing on the dolls that refers to the Obama girls. It would not be fair to say they are exact replications of these girls. They are not.”
The dolls are both 12-inches tall with bronze skin and real doll hair. Sweet Sasha sports pigtails and a white and pink dress with hearts while the Marvelous Malia has a side ponytail, long sleeved shirt and capri pants. The limited run of toys was introduced in early January.
