New ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Ian McShane Drops HUGE Season 6 Spoiler

British actor Ian McShane has shared a huge spoiler ahead of his debut on show Game Of Thrones.

Ian, who will be seen in season six of HBO’s popular fantasy show, has given the biggest hint yet that a much-loved character will be brought back to life.

Fans have been speculating about the fate of much-love character Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, 29, since the previous season ended.

Ian has been sworn to secrecy about his role, but revealed to BBC Radio 5 Live on Thursday (03Mar16) that he will play “the leader of a peaceful cult” who nurses “a much loved character back to life.”

When asked pointedly if it was Jon Snow or The Hound (actor Rory McCann) who would be returning, he said: “I won’t say him or her, but it is a character that is much loved who everyone thinks has died and he’s not dead. And me and my band of peace-loving brothers and sisters have nursed him back to life, and so it introduces him again,” he confided.

Clearly aware he was stirring the rumour mill, he then cheekily asked: “Who do you think it is?”

Loyal fans have hinted that Ian may be playing the role of former knight-turned-healer called “The Elder Brother” who leads a community of monks. “My character is like a former warrior who has renounced violence and now lives this peaceful cult,” the actor shared.

The actor best known for playing Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, will join the familiar cast of characters in Season 6 of the series, which premiers on April 24 (16).

The new season will see the fantasy saga go beyond the territory of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series for the first time, leaving fans guessing as to who the mystery characters could be.

Warrior Jon Snow died in the season five finale, leading many fans to wonder if he will be brought back, a rumour encouraged by HBO’s release of a teaser poster featuring the beloved character.

Another major character, fans hope to see the return of is The Hound.

Last year (15) actor Kit was spotted filming on the set of the new series in Belfast, although it was speculated he could be filming flashback scenes.
