Nick Hogan spent the past 166 days behind bars, but as of today the reality TV star is free.
Hulk Hogan’s youngest found himself in hot water after an August 2007 accident in his father’s Toyota Supra that left his friend John Graziano severely injured and needing care for the rest of his life.
Hogan, who starred in VH1’s Hogan Knows Best, was plead no contest to the reckless driving charge in May and received a reduced sentence (from eight months to six months) thanks to his good behavior at Pinellas County Jail in Florida. Reports say that he ran into the arms of his older sister Brooke upon being released.
“This is our time as a family to come together to support Nick‘s adjustment back into the public life, keeping it as normal as possible,” his mother Linda said in a statement. “Neither Nick, nor we as a family, has any interest in making this anything but private. We respect the media’s role and only ask that they respect our privacy. Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life. His focus is to make a positive difference in this world, media-free. Since his future actions will speak louder than any words, there is no need to speak to the media at this time.”
Hogan, 18, will need to complete 500 hours of community service and his license will be suspended for three years.
No word yet on the rumored reality show he was supposed to be starring in once released!
