For more than a year we’ve been hearing about Taylor Swift‘s celebrity power squad. Their red carpet appearances, sleepovers, and award show hangs look like the stuff #lifegoals are made of. However, if you take a closer look it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. Here are 10 reasons Taylor Swift’s squad culture falls short of being truly awesome.
1. Her squad is full of nothing but stunning (mostly white) actresses and models.

2. With that amount of star power, they’ve done nothing with their popularity to bring awareness to those in need.

3. Swift’s squad encourages the idea of cliques.

4. Using the squad for her “Bad Blood” video was basically a passive aggressive bully blow at Katy Perry, whom the song is about.

Remember last year when TSwift accused Nicki Minaj of not supporting women? Hypocrical perhaps?
5. It’s ruined the word “squad” for everyone who doesn’t subscribe to Taylor’s definition of it.
