Rocker Eddie Money dead at 70

Rocker Eddie Money has died, aged 70.

The Two Tickets to Paradise singer passed away on Friday (September 13, 2019).

“The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning,” a statement reads. “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”

Money recently revealed he had been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. His health struggles were documented in reality TV series Real Money, which debuted last year (2018).

Eddie’s hits also included Baby Hold On, Shakin’ and Take Me Home Tonight, a duet with Ronnie Spector. He released 11 albums throughout his career.

Money is survived by his wife Laurie and five children.
