TMZ is reporting that Sammi “Sweetheart” from MTV’s Jersey Shore punched another girl twice in the face last month at a club in Miami during the filming of the show’s second season. But since she fled the Sunshine State before charges could be pressed, Sammi is off the hook… for now.
The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office told TMZ that the Jersey Shore star could face battery charges if she returns, but “as a matter of policy, we do not file charges involving misdemeanor crimes when the accused is beyond [our] jurisdiction… This case could be revisited if and when the accused returns.”
Miami-Dade joins Seaside Heights, NJ on a growing list of places that are completely fed up with the pseudo-Italian reality stars and their curious predilection for punching, and getting punched, in the face. Behavioral psychologists continue to investigate this phenomenon, which they believe to be a kind of mating ritual induced by the potent combination of booze, hairspray, and pounding techno.
