Sharon Stone and Pals Plan AIDS Charity Bonanza

Sharon Stone is set to swell the coffers of international AIDS charities with a series of high-profile charity donations.

The actress is auctioning the Chopard necklace her character wears in Basic Instinct 2 and she has convinced studio bosses at Sony and her own agent to add to the pot.

But she’s particularly proud of a new Fendi project, which will see her become a charity jewelry designer for the Italian fashion house.

She explains, “I’m making a personal art piece that I’m giving to the AIDS benefit at the Cannes Film Festival, called Life In A Fishbowl. It’s made up of personal objects in my life.

“Fendi invited me to Rome and we designed this project and we’re announcing and showing it and auctioning off the first surprise design piece with all the proceeds going to the Cannes AIDS benefit.

“And then it will be available to the public this Christmas.”

Among the many charities that will benefit from Stone‘s gifts are Concerned Parents for AIDS Research and UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
