The world is a place that is constantly evolving and changing, and we know this because Tamagotchis and trampoline-based aerobics classes aren’t considered FAAAAAAAAANTASTIC anymore. But it’s still pretty amazing to think that one day, MTV will stop filming new episodes of Jersey Shore and the castmates will have to find other ways to make a living. Unfortunately this task will be harder for some of the stars to complete, but Snooki has taken the extra precautions to ensure that she doesn’t run into any financial problems if she has difficulty solidifying employment after spending five (or maybe six) seasons smelling her burp breath.
In a new interview with GQ, the head guidette revealed that she’s spent a significant amount of time considering what her life will be like after series finale of Jersey Shore, and indicated that she’s prepared for the worst. She said, “Jersey Shore is going to end soon. I’m not going to spend money like Mike. He’s already broke.” Earlier this year, we learned the “core” members of the 8 Italian icons were given raises and their salaries were bumped to $100,000 per episode — which means over the course of her time in Italy, Snooki earned $1.3 million. The Situation probably earned the same figure because of how he spent this past season causing problems between Jionni and Snooki, and for taking part in one of the most epic exhibitions of dominance against a concrete wall in recent history. But according to Snooki, he’s already spent his paychecks on…let’s say, upkeep.
As for Snooki’s future endeavors, she explained she wants to go back to school and complete the requirements to be a veterinary technician. Perhaps Mike will eventually follow her lead and educate himself on something other than self-pity that’s masked by disingenuous behavior that hides desperation for acceptance.
