Millie Bobby Brown has her own vegan beauty line
In 2019, Millie Bobby Brown launched her first beauty brand, Florence By Mills. Named after her great-grandmother, the makeup line is PETA-certified, cruelty-free, and vegan. As a young actress, Millie has always had to wear makeup, whether it was the heavy face cosmetics for her work on Stranger Things or different kinds of foundation for other TV and movie roles.
“I wanted to come into the space because there was a gap in the market for young people,” Millie Bobby Brown tells WWD. “I guess I could never find anything that I liked to put on my face, and it felt good. I’d take off my makeup, and boom, another pimple would appear.”
With Florence By Mills, Millie established a beauty line that would use non-toxic ingredients to help young people feel good and healthy in their skin. According to the product’s website, the beauty line refuses “parabens, sulfates, animal testing, and animal by-products” and instead uses “vitamins, antioxidants, and botanicals.”
Millie Bobby Brown’s beauty line is for the Gen-Z audience
Florence By Mills incorporates all the traditional makeup tools like mascara, eyebrow gel, lip balms, and blush. Millie has also introduced skincare products like face wash as well as hair masks. While helping preserve the environment and people’s skin with clean ingredients, her main mission is to let young people define beauty on their own terms.
“What I want my beauty brand to represent is individuality and embrace who you are. All I know is that I want you to feel yourself,” Millie says in an Instagram video.
By creating a makeup line for young people, Millie Bobby Brown has made the prices affordable. Products range from about $10-$34 so that more people have the chance to wear makeup and feel special.
One of the coolest things about Florence By Mills is that it uses its funds to donate to the Olivia Hope Foundation, which honors Millie’s friend Olivia Hope LoRusso, who passed away from Leukemia in 2017. The organization helps to find cures for childhood cancers.
