The Most Jaw-Dropping Moments From The 2015 Emmy Awards

The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards just happened, and they were completely epic. As expected, Andy Samberg killed the game as an amazing host. Though Amy Poehler didn’t win the Emmy she so desperately deserves, Amy Schumer snagged her first Emmy for her series Inside Amy Schumer. Viola Davis won the award for Lead Actress in a Dramatic Series, becoming the first African-American woman to do so.  And, the Emmy’s welcomed comedian Tracy Morgan back to the stage for the first time in over a year. As expected Andy Samberg started the show with an amazingly hilarious skit:

Everyone was delighted about the most diverse nominations in Emmy history.

But then we all got a much needed dose of reality:

Then Andy delivered a masterful read about Kim Davis and everyone was obsessed:

Amy Schumer and Amy Poehler presented Allison Janney with the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedic Role Award:

 Jimmy Kimmel ate the nominee card for Best Lead Actor in A Comedy:

But Jefferey Tambor graciously accepted his Emmy anyway, and dedicated his win to the transgender community:

During a commercial break, Apple Music debuted their new commercial featuring Mary J. Blige, Taraji P. Henson and Kerry Washington and directed by Ava DuVernay. Obviously it SLAYYED:

 But then, Amy Pohler didn’t win the Best Lead Actress in a Comedy and everyone was slightly devastated. (For the record Julia Louis-Dreyfus won her fourth consecutive Emmy for HBO’s VEEP):

Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard presented Regina King with the first Emmy win. It was also her first nomination:

Andy Samberg gave out his HBO GO password and apparently it works:

Lady Gaga showed up to present looking beyond regal:

There was an in-memoriam for all of the television shows that went off the air this year, and everyone felt all the feels:

It was the 67th Emmy’s and Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin’s 67th birthday:

Amy Schumer won her first Emmy EVER and people lost their shizzzzzzzz:

Game of Thrones won over Mad Men in the Writing Category and it didn’t go over too well:

But then Uzo Aduba won her second consecutive Emmy for her role on Orange Is the New Black, so all was well again:

Jon Hamm FINALLY WON AN EMMY and then he crawled on the stage to retrieve it. It was a moment:

Viola Davis took home her first Emmy for her role in ABC’s How To Get Away Murder and her speech made everyone weep. She is the first Black woman to win in the Lead Actress category:

And finally, the Emmy Stage welcomed back Tracy Morgan to the stage for the first time since his horrific accident and presented Best Drama Series Award to Game of Thrones:
