The White House Staff Has Been Pranking President Obama With Creepy Snowmen

What’s happening in the Oval Office is the stuff nightmares are made from. No we’re not talking about Donald Trump’s presidency, we’re talking about the terrifying snowmen some hilarious staffers planted around the White House.

To keep things light and fun before President Obama leaves office and the country implodes on itself, White House staffers have been pranking him with the snowmen from the front lawn. They’ve been placing them up against windows so they’re creepily watching every single one of Obama’s moves with fake, plastic, and somewhat demonic smiles. Those glossed-over, perma-smiles look like they’re laughing in the face of our country’s messy presidential election (it might just be us, but they also look really, really hungry. Good Lord, would we have jumped if we turned around and saw that).

White House photographer Pete Souza shared a snap of one of the snowmen ominously peering into the Oval Office. In his post, he explained how they pulled off the White House prank to end all White House pranks.

“Sometimes you gotta have fun,” he said. “For the past three weeks, there have been four snowmen on display in the Rose Garden. We’ve been joking that we should move the snowmen a few feet closer to the Oval Office every day to see if anyone noticed. Then we realized the snowmen were too heavy to easily lift. But finally this morning before the President came to the office, some helpful staff — I won’t say who–moved all the snowmen so each one was peeking through a different window into the Oval.”

Obama’s administration is clearly trying to make the best out of a bad situation. With all the difficult training required for Donald Trump’s looming presidency (he has zero political experience, after all), what else is there to do but laugh? Now, Souza didn’t name Joe Biden as the culprit, but c’mon. Could it have been anyone else?

Check out the hilarious photos below. You sure got him good, Joe.

Another snowman from yesterday. Yes he enjoyed the prank. See previous post for the backstory.
