It’s clear that the Carter/Knowles clan have distanced themselves from Kanye West since he married Kim Kardashian. In fact, just this past weekend, West went on another rant about Beyoncé and Jay-Z not really being his “friends” anymore. Apparently, their daughters don’t play together and Jay and Bey didn’t “stop by the house” after Kardashian-West was robbed at gunpoint earlier this fall. But, could there be another reason for the division between the couples?
On the track “Sorry” from Beyoncé’s latest album Lemonade, she sings, “He only want me when I’m not there, he better call Becky with the good hair.” That short line set off a frenzy among celebs and the Beyhive with everyone from Rachel Roy to Rita Ora getting caught in the crosshairs. But, what if the real “Becky” was actually Kim Kardashian’s mama; Kris Jenner?
Hollywood hairstylist Anthony Pazos, who has worked with Bey and the Kardashian/Jenner matriarch is saying that Kris Jenner is the real Becky. He chatted with Daily Mail saying, “The rumors while we were working were that the one line ‘Becky with the good hair’ is Kris Jenner.” Clearly, that’s not enough of an explanation. Luckily, Pazos was pretty loose-lipped and went on to say,”The funny thing about it is that no one believes that because they are like Jenner is older — why would Jay Z do that? But if you think about it, it makes perfect sense. In the way that if you were going to be with… someone that they know interpersonally who has the same amount of money that they do, and so that’s the ‘rumor’ that was going around on our production while we were working with Bey. Take what you want from that.”
Pazos clarified that Jenner and Jay-Z’s relationship was not at all romantic, but instead their close business connection annoyed Queen B; especially since she doesn’t see it for Kim Kardashian or her super public life.
This doesn’t seem too far-fetched, after all, both Jay-Z and Kris Jenner as super smart business people and it would make sense that they would click. Also, it was Kim K. who first jokingly alluded to her mama being Becky .
