Watch Lindsay Lohan’s 90 Second Film Called ‘Lindsay Lohan’

Before Lindsay Lohan was placed under house arrest last week she made a 90 second film for painter Richard Phillips, and you can see it below. The movie is called Lindsay Lohan, and it is described as a “psychological portrait.” And it actually is very much a psychological portrait because of how well Lindsay’s limited actions — of staring off into a pool, at footage of herself on a large screen and rather lifelessly at us — represent the true power she embodies (it’s the same kind that sets off an electronic monitoring bracelet without “doing anything” to set it off).

I get that this reel is more about the artistry of visuals, and that’s totally cool. It’s like, “Show me the doughnut! Don’t just tell me about it! Put me in a chair next to it!” I was there for that! But in the larger scheme of things, this is just a montage of all of Lindsay’s skills that haven’t yet disintegrated AND an advertisement for the kind of cameos she can make within the strict confines of her parole agreements. The good news is this is exactly what the Slap Chop did before it got itself back on track.

Full screen it if you’d like to watch it the way it’s intended to be watched, which is on a Jumbotron. (I’m serious. This will be played on a Jumbotron next to the Grand Canal in Venice during the beginning of the 54th Venice Biennale in June.)
