Making the Rounds: Highlights from the 2008 Los Angeles Film Festival

Jason Reitman: “I was writing my next screenplay when a buddy of mine called me and says I’ve got a great script for you to read. It’s a teen comedy written by a former stripper… Usually most screenplays aren’t very good, but 10 pages in I was like, ‘This is good, I’m actually going to enjoy this.’”

Chris Carter: “I Want to Believe, if you remember the poster on Mulder’s wall in his office from the pilot episode said, ‘I want to believe’ on it. So it drew from the very beginning. It really also I think sums up, I’d call it the nature of Mulder’s quest which is he struggles with his faith and the things unseen and the unknown and the mysterious.” (Read story)

[IMG:L] Exclusive Interview with Artist in Residence and ‘Wanted’ Star Common
Common: “Morgan [Freeman] was so cool [on the set of Wanted]…First of all, his energy was right on the film. He was singing songs and dancing around and having fun and we’re all in admiration of him. It’s Morgan Freeman. But I got chills when he came around to me and gave me some advice, just whispered some things in my ear when I was doing the scene and it made me feel like he really cared.
