Shatner: The expectation is you are going to lose. I was dreading how it is to lose. I guess I rather not be nominated if I don’t win. The thrill is unbound.
What is the secret of your staying power?
Shatner: Technique.
Why are men sexier with their natural figure and don’t have to work that hard on it like women?
Shatner: I can’t say anything to that. I work out every day, I have washboard abs and amazing thighs. Don’t know what to say to the aging process of other men.
could not understand the question
Shatner: I am an example of what can happen if you don’t drink, don’t smoke, love passionately and eat wheaties and work out every day.
Who was the sexiest woman you have ever worked with?
Shatner: Do you mean other than my wife? I think Candice Bergen is really sexy. She is a woman of a certain age. She is glorious in her humor, in her vitality. God knows what she’s like… (laughs)

Huffman: No, my speech was off the cuff. I did not write a speech. I hope I did all right.
By the way, Teri Hatcher came out of the Inside TV party, saw Huffman, hugged her and congratulated her and said: “You know, it is way too smoky in there. I have to go right now. I am just too old for that.”
Jesse Metcalfe took his girlfriend to the Emmys–so he is “off the market!”

Ray Romano: It Feels great. I am actually shocked to win. We thought Desperate Housewives would win. It is our swan song.
How was it working with the crew on the show for such a long time?
Ray Romano: If you have 100 people working together, somebody will always be an asshole. There was none. Maybe it was me. Maybe I was the asshole (laughs).
Were you emotional today?
Ray Romano: I am not kidding. We have all put every ounce of energy into this show and when it was all over you are first happy that you have time for other things like. Getting a perm but that wears off. I did not think I would miss it as much as I do. It is bittersweet that this is our last hooray.
Patricia Heaton: When we shot the final episodes, I cried and cried. It is bitter sweet to leave but we did not leave a stone unturned. It was complete. It is much easier to walk away if you know that you finished the job.
Where are you going to put your Emmy?
Brad Garrett: It will probably end up in the Barbie Dream Car. I don’t know. I am just overwhelmed. If you have a five and six year old you never know. They might give it to the neighbor.

James Spader: Please, how can one complain about that. It is all completely by design., It is my life and there does not seem to be much more important than food, sleep, my children and sex with women.
How do you feel about celebrities getting involved in things like helping Hurricane victims?
James Spader: I think there should be a responsibility of people helping people. People stepped up right away with no pause. It does not matter whether you are a celeb or a politician or a regular person. I was pleased to see that people from this business became involved and helped right away. It excuses the silliness that we spent our lives pursuing.
Patricia Arquette
Did you think you would win tonight?
Patricia Arquette: I was 99% sure that I wouldn’t win. I wrote up a speech but never thought I had to use it but I am glad I am prepared. I thought I was in a weird dream.

Patricia Arquette: My dress is from Badgley Mishka. I was going to design my own dress with my brother Alexis but we never got to do it because I was working for Hurricane Katrina all the time and I want to do more. All these gowns and jewelry here give me a real conflict.
