57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards: It’s Good to Be a Nominee

Everyone really is a winner when it comes to the Emmys. Just take a look at some of the fabulous perks the gala’s nominees and presenters have been enjoying in the days leading up to the big day.

Living Large at L’Ermitage
It’s not every day that even Emmy nominees get a chance to sample fine sushi, sip expensive wine and take in a panoramic view of Beverly Hills from the rooftop of a five-star hotel. Perhaps that’s why Eric McCormack, Adrien Grenier, Denis Leary, Jane Kaczmarek and Terry O’Quinn were keen to attend Annual Emmy Award Nominees at the ritzy Raffles L’Ermitage Anniversary Party. Eric and his wife Janet were so entranced with the scenic moonlit sky above 90210, they begged off answering any Emmy questions. “We’re on a date,” he confided.

Michelle Roy's Magnolia pin
Memory Blooms
Of course, even as the stars get glammed up for their Emmy outing, everyone wants to remind mindful of the struggles faced by Americans in the Gulf Coast following the devastating onslaught of Hurrican Katrina. With that in mind the producers of the Emmys tapped L.A. based jewelry designer Michelle Roy to create a special Magnolia pin/clip for the celebrity presenters to wear in commemoration of the hurricane victims. Roy donated 200 of the magnolia-shaped accessories-it’s the state flower of both Louisiana and Mississippi-to the ceremony. Available plain or decorated with Swarovski crystals, and as a pin or hair clip, Michelle Roy Magnolias will retail from between $28 and $48, 50% of each sale will be donated to the Red Cross to benefit victims of Katrina. You can find the pin at MichelleRoyDesigns, as well as on the lapel of host Ellen Degeneres.
