A$AP Rocky plays down elevator scuffle

Rapper A$AP Rocky has played down reports suggesting he was attacked during a fight in New Zealand early on Thursday (25Feb16), insisting it was just a “lil scuffle”.
The Wild for the Night star was allegedly caught up in an elevator brawl at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland, after performing a concert at the city’s Vector Arena on Wednesday night (24Feb16).
Sources told TMZ.com Rocky was heading upstairs from the lobby with some girls when three men attempted to join them, only for the rapper to insist there wasn’t enough room in the elevator.
The men reportedly began yelling, “F**k A$AP!”, before supposedly jumping on Rocky and punching him in the face, all while he was trying to protect his female companions.
Hotel security officials intervened and eventually broke up the brawl, while police subsequently arrived and took a 35-year-old male into custody for assault and resisting police.
Now Rocky has taken to Twitter.com to insist he is just fine after fans flooded his social media account with messages of concern, vowing to take revenge for the hip-hop star.
“LIL (sic) SCUFFLE,” he wrote on Thursday, alongside a close up photo of his face. “STILL PRETTY, STILL HANDSOME… DEFENSE SQUD (squad) DONT TRIP… LOVE 2 AUCKLAND (sic)!”
He then brushed off claims suggesting he had been beaten up, insisting it was nothing serious, adding, “Assaulted? N**gas get shot every day b, ha (sic).”
And the drama hasn’t halted Rocky’s tour Down Under – he performed in Sydney, Australia on Thursday night.
