ABC may not edit “Ryan”

Despite some of the film’s graphic war violence, ABC is likely to air Steven Spielberg‘s Saving Private Ryan uncut, possibly on Veterans Day in November, the New York Daily News reported Friday. The newspaper indicated that ad buyers were not likely to be averse to purchasing time within the film. “The movie has established its credibility,” Chris Geraci of OMD USA told the Daily News. “It’s all about the context … Every case needs to be judged by itself.”
