Adam Deacon given trial date

British actor Adam Deacon is to stand trial in April (16) on charges of affray and possessing an offensive weapon.
Deacon, who won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Rising Star Award in 2012, is accused of brandishing a machete-style knife and threatening members of the public outside his London home in January last year (15).
The case was delayed in March (15) but at a hearing at the British capital’s Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday (24Feb16), a trial date was set for 4 April (16).
The Anuvahood star, who did not appear at the hearing, denies both charges.
