American Gladiator star Lee Reherman dies

Athlete-turned-actor Lee Reherman has been found dead at the age of 49.
The star’s girlfriend discovered his body at their home in Manhattan Beach, California on Tuesday (01Mar16), days after complaining about “not feeling well”, his representative tells TMZ.com. Reherman had recently undergone hip replacement surgery.
The former college footballer began his acting career in the 1990s, when he landed an appearance as an unnamed sportsman in crime drama Columbo. He went on to feature in 1993’s Last Action Hero, before returning to his athletic roots and scoring his big break as Hawk on popular TV competition series American Gladiators.
His other screen credits include guest appearances on The X-Files, The First Family, NCIS, and Jane The Virgin, while he landed work as a TV presenter too, hosting shows like Hot Rod TV and Forza Motorsport Showdown on America’s Speed network.
Reherman also lent his vocals to characters in video games like Dead Rising 3 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
Police are investigating Reherman’s death, but sources tell TMZ there were no initial signs of foul play.
