American Head Charge rocker Chad Hanks dies

American Head Charge bassist Chad Hanks has died at the age of 46.
The rocker passed away on Sunday (12Nov17) following a battle with an undisclosed illness.
Hanks was a co-founder of the group, which formed in 1997. The band split in 2009, but reunited in 2011. Its latest album, Tango Umbrella, was released in 2016.
Paying tribute to Hanks, his former bandmate Ted Hallows writes on Facebook, “Rest In Peace my friend. You will be missed and your music will live on forever. Thank you for making me a better guitarist and thank you for all the great memories we shared together. Love you man and won’t ever forget you. RIP Chad…”
A benefit and memorial show for Hanks will take place on 26 November (17) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Hanks isn’t the first member of the band to pass away – guitarist Bryan Ottoson died of an accidental prescription drug overdose at the age of 27 in the middle of a Mudvayne tour in 2005.
