American Idol’s Antonella Barba to live with parents ahead of drug trial

Former American Idol fan favourite Antonella Barba has been permitted to live with her parents ahead of facing drug charges.
The singer has been behind bars since October (18) after she was arrested in Virginia for conspiracy to distribute and possess cocaine, heroin and fentanyl in Virginia.
Now The Blast is reporting, the 32-year-old was released into the care of her parents on Thursday (22Feb19) after being fitted for a monitor to ensure she sticks to the strict curfew a judge has ordered. She will be permitted to reside with her family at their home in New Jersey until she appears in court.
According to documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the Idol season six contestant stands accused of working as a courier for a drug ring.
When she was apprehended, she allegedly had two pounds of fentanyl in her possession, according to the outlet.
Last week (ends08Feb19), she was indicted for the conspiracy charge, as well as 10 counts of distribution or possession of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, with intent to distribute.
The singer was previously arrested in 2011 for allegedly shoplifting in an Urban Outfitters store.
