Steve Irwin’s Memorial Service – Animal Planet
On a night usually reserved for looking ahead, the cable network Animal Planet does the opposite with a block of programming dedicated to wildlife guru and hero-to-many, Steve Irwin, who died in a stingray attack in 2006.
Sandwiched in-between episodes of the show that made him famous, The Crocodile Hunter will be an airing of the memorial service that took place in Irwin‘s wildlife park in Australia. Russell Crowe, Prime Minister John Howard and Bindi Irwin, Steve’s 8-year-old daughter, all delivered moving tributes.
