Anna Wintour has denied longstanding rumors that she once had an affair with Bob Marley.
In Jerry Oppenheimer’s 2004 book Front Row: Anna Wintour: What Lies Beneath the Chic Exterior of Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, it was alleged that the fashion editor was “obsessed” with the late Jamaican singer when she was working at Harper’s Bazaar in the ’70s and at one point she “disappeared with him for a week”.
However, during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night (25Oct17) she shutdown the speculation entirely during a segment called Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, where guests take turns in answering personal questions or eating disgusting items.
“There’s a rumor you dated Bob Marley. What was Bob Marley like in bed?” host James probed, to which Anna replied: “I’m really glad you asked me that. Fake news. I’ve never actually met Bob Marley. I’m sorry to disappoint.”
She jokingly added that she would “absolutely” have slept with the reggae star had she met him.
Anna was then asked to rank top fashion designers Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren from best to worst. She declined and stated, “They’re all masters of their universe!” before nibbling on a bit of bacon wrapped pizza, declaring, “It’s covered in grease.”
James also asked Anna to name the person who she wouldn’t invite back to the Met Gala, the annual fashion event she hosts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The 67-year-old avoided eating pickled pig’s feet when she revealed President Donald Trump wouldn’t be attending again.
The questioning wasn’t just aimed at Anna though; James was forced to gobble down some bull’s penis after he refused to answer which celebrity was his least favorite to speak with at dinner parties.
“It’s somebody so famous and it was so boring. I can’t because I’ll run into them and it’s a terrible thing to say, isn’t it?” he laughed.
