Ashley Graham planning to become the next Oprah Winfrey

Ashley Graham has set her sights on becoming the “next Oprah“.

Talk show legend Oprah Winfrey started her career as a local news anchor, but is now a revered media mogul, with book deals, a radio channel and her own magazine title among her achievements.

Plus-size model Ashley, whose curves have broken boundaries in fashion, is now looking to the superstar for inspiration, telling Vogue her plan “to become the next Oprah” is already in motion.
She then went on to explain that she wishes she’d been “more business-minded” earlier in her career.

“I could have started my clothing lines earlier on, but I was told, ‘No,'” the 30-year-old recalled. “It took me a while to realise that I had control of my career, and that I could turn those ‘Nos’ into ‘Yeses.'”
Ashley has a swimwear range and also previously created a denim capsule collection for Marina Rinaldi.

Her latest gig is fronting Rag & Bone’s DIY Project. For the photoshoot, the brunette beauty was given a camera and a bag of Rag & Bone clothes which she was asked to interpret in her own way. The result was a series of Polaroids shot by her husband Justin Ervin.

“When I model, I think about how other women will want to look and feel in the clothing that I am wearing,” she said. “Since I was art directing this shoot, I knew I wanted it to be slightly edgy, but still have an approachable look for the customer.”

Hailey Baldwin, Alek Wek, Bella Hadid and Paris Jackson have also been tapped for Rag & Bone’s DIY Project.
