Baseball star Roy Halladay killed in plane crash

Retired baseball star Roy Halladay has died in a plane crash, aged 40.
The former Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays pitcher, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, lost his life when the ICON A5 light sport aircraft, on which he was a passenger, crashed into the Gulf of Mexico near St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday (07Nov17).
His death has been confirmed by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department.
An eight-time All-Star pitcher, Halladay is one of only two players in baseball history to throw a no-hitter in the play-offs.
