Benedict Cumberbatch to play cat artist Louis Wain

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to play another real-life character in director Will Sharpe’s Louis Wain biopic.
The Sherlock star, who has tackled WikiLeaks boss Julian Assange and code breaker Alan Turing on the big screen, will play the troubled artist, who became famous for his drawings of large-eyed cats.
Louis Wain also features Claire Foy on the cast, according to Deadline.
Filming begins in London next month (Aug19).
Meanwhile, Cumberbatch was part of a Marvel celebration at Comic-Con in San Diego, California over the weekend (21Jul19), where he announced his return as Doctor Strange for the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
