Blac Youngsta surrenders to police over shooting

Yo Gotti’s protege Blac Youngsta has turned himself in to police in North Carolina in connection to a shooting involving rap rival Young Dolph.
Cut It star Dolph, real name Adolph Thornton, Jr., was en route to a show in Charlotte in February (17) when his heavily armoured SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) was peppered with bullets.
No one was injured in the ambush, and he subsequently placed the blame for the attack on Blac Youngsta.
Authorities subsequently issued a warrant for Blac’s arrest, and he and two others surrendered to cops on Tuesday (16May17) to face a number of weapons charges, reports TMZ.com.
Blac, born Sammie Benson, is denying any involvement in the shooting, and his attorney tells WSOCTV.com the rapper turned himself in to police after they discovered the van used in the drive-by shooting had been rented out by the 27-year-old at the time of the incident. Blac claims the vehicle was stolen from him.
He and fellow suspects Fredrick Black, 23, and Antavius Gardner, 21, are each facing six counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property and felony conspiracy.
They are due to appear in court to answer the charges on Wednesday (17May17).
