Black Sabbath has canceled several concert dates in August following Ozzfest, according to Launch.com. The tour was slated to begin on Aug. 14 or 15 and run through Aug. 24 or 25. Cities affected by the cancellations include New York City, Scranton, Pa., and Columbia, Md. A spokesperson for Disturbed, the band’s opening act, told Launch that no reason had been given for the cancellations.
The sixth annual installation of Ozzfest, which showcases Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson and Papa Roach, will be available on CD. Ozzfest 2001: The Second Millennium will be available on Aug. 14 and feature 15 live tracks from the festival. Ozzfest is organized by former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and his wife and manager Sharon.
