Bob Marley’s grandson signs American football contract

Bob Marley’s grandson has signed terms with American football team the Washington Redskins.
Nico Marley was picked up by the organisation on Tuesday (16May17), after impressing coaches during a competitive event for non-professional athletes.
The 22-year-old’s abilities appear to run in the family – his father Rohan Marley was a college football star at the University of Miami, in Florida, where he played alongside the likes of Dwayne Johnson and Ray Lewis, before becoming a part of the Canadian Football League.
Nico took to Twitter to share his excitement after the news was announced.
“My family and I are extremely grateful to the Washington Redskins organization… for giving me this opportunity to prove myself in mini-camp,” he wrote. “All I’ve ever needed was a chance to prove myself. Been hearing I’m ‘too small’ my whole life and that won’t ever stop me.”
