Bon Iver star not impressed with Bruno Mars’ Grammy wins

Bon Iver star Justin Vernon has taken aim at Grammy bosses for handing Bruno Mars an armful of awards on Sunday night (29Jan18).
A previous Grammy winner, the Bon Iver singer was far from impressed with Bruno’s sweep of the night’s major awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best R&B Album – and he took to social media to vent his frustration.
“Mr Mars made a name in the INDUSTRY by making hits OUT of hits of yesteryear,” Vernon wrote. “So… no real need to be mad, even, at the Grammies (sic),” he continued, before singling out two stars he had hoped would win big, “SZA? KENDRICK?.”
Vernon added: “The Grammies are for the music Industry. Music, itself, is for everywhere else and everyone else. Good to remember.
“Looks like Grammies are still something serious musicians should not take seriously! Absolutely NO offense to Mr Mars, but you absolutely have to be s**tting me.”
