Bond heads for South Africa after falling out with India’s railway bosses

Film bosses on the untitled new Bond epic wanted to use India’s crowded railway system for a breathtaking stunt sequence, but struggled to get full permission from railroad chiefs.

And now they’ve halted negotiations and chosen to film the scenes in South Africa instead, according to The Times of India.

Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi tells the publication, “While the Bond franchise is important for us, so is the safety of people. God forbid if something untoward happened, people would not stop blaming us.”
